Supportive, neuroscience-informed care used thoughtfully and selectively

At Future-Edge Therapy, our primary focus is trauma resolution, working with how trauma is encoded across the brain, nervous system, body, and emotional responses.

In some circumstances, and where appropriate, we may also integrate supportive neuroscience-based tools as part of a wider recovery framework. One such collaboration is with Flow Neuroscience.

This collaboration allows us to offer additional, carefully considered support for some clients always alongside therapeutic work, never as a standalone solution.

What Is Flow Neuroscience?

Flow Neuroscience is a mental health company that has developed a non-invasive, medication-free brain stimulation device designed to support mood regulation.

The Flow device uses transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), a gentle electrical current applied to specific areas of the scalp, with the aim of supporting patterns of brain activity associated with low mood and depression.

Flow is used within clear guidelines and is supported by ongoing research in neuroscience and mental health.

How Flow May Be Used at Future-Edge Therapy

Flow is not a treatment we offer routinely, and it is not suitable for everyone.

Where it is used, it is positioned as:

Flow does not replace therapy, trauma resolution work, or relational support. Instead, it may help some individuals feel more resourced or regulated while engaging in deeper recovery work.

Why Flow Is Not Central to Our Work

At Future-Edge Therapy, we are careful not to centre recovery around devices, techniques, or tools.

Trauma resolution is not achieved by technology alone. It requires:

For this reason, Flow is never presented as a solution in itself. It is one of several possible supports that may be considered, depending on individual need.

A Thoughtful, Ethical Approach

We are mindful that brain-based technologies can easily be over-marketed or misunderstood.

Our approach to Flow reflects our wider values:

Any consideration of Flow takes place within a broader conversation about suitability, safety, and support.

Who Might Explore This Option

Some individuals may be curious about additional neuroscience-based support if they:

Exploration of Flow is always optional, and alternatives are always available.
